Led by Ms Doy Pichjira, the dedicated team is focusing on repairing and strengthening the upper part of the central tower, as well as addressing high-risk areas such as the north and south-east corners.

The condition of the temple prior to the restoration was described as dilapidated, with damaged brick walls and structural instability. The ongoing work aims to strengthen the brick structure, prevent water seepage and restore the temple to its original condition.

Built in the mid-10th century, Bat Chum Temple has historical significance as a site dedicated to Mahayana Buddhism.
